Prof. Yuan ChongYi attended my first lectures - and the dinner afterwards. I first met ChongYi in 1981. He later spent a year with Carl Adam Petri near Bonn, and came to visit us here in Denmark on hos way back to China. After the lecture we were 8 people for an early, delicious chinese dinner in a splendid campus restaurant.

Before my lectures I had lunch with Profs. Sun Meng and Wang Ji (from Changsha's National University for Defense Technology). Good to see Wang Ji whom I have known since the mid 1980s.

It was nice to meet, at BeiDa, many former visitors, Fellows and Guest Professors, to UNU-IIST. To them their stay at UNU-IIST, as late as the mid 00's, was of vital importance to their studies and career.
