Call for papers
The workshop invites extended abstract submissions presenting original work within
a range of topics related to imaging food quality, such as
applications of image analysis to:
- Sorting of raw food materials
- Maintaining a uniform high quality food product with minimum waste
- Developing and producing food products with required chemical, physical, sensory, or health related properties
As well as new technological developments in:
- Imaging sensors sensitive in the visual, near infrared and short wave infrared spectral ranges
- Laser light emitting diodes and fiber laser illumination sources
- Multivariate data analysis which enables new imaging spectrometers with an unprecedented freedom of spectral and geometrical configuration
Paper submission All submissions will be reviewed by anonymous reviewers. The extended abstracts will be accepted for oral or poster presentation. All accepted abstracts will be published in proceedings. Submissions (as well as accepted abstracts) are limited to 6 pages. Authors are to follow the formatting guidelines provided by the SCIA conference (Springer format). Submissions should be sent to Line Clemmensen by 1st of February. Accepted submissions are invited to be submitted in an extended version for a special issue on Imaging Science in Food Quality, in The Journal of Imaging Science and Technology (JIST). The deadline for the special issue is June 15, 2011.
