Public Transportation: Construction Work!Unfortunately, some construction work on some S-train routes in the Copenhagen area is going on during the ECMFA conference. This affects in particular the S-trains between downtown Copenhagen and Lyngby Station after 1900.Note that this affects S-trains only after 1900 — busses will not be affected by this construction work at all. Below, you will find some backup routes for the affected connections.
Airport (CPH) - Hotel Scandic EremitageThe easiest way to reach the hotel from the airport after 1900 is now: Take Metro M2 to Nørreport st. From Nørreport st, take bus 150S in direction Kokkedal to Klampenborgvej/Helsingør Motorvej ("Klampenborgv/Hgør.Motorv."). From there, you can take the bus 388 or 182 in direction Lyngby st to Lyngby Storcenter. From Klampenborgvej, you could also walk (1.3km).Another option is: Take Metro M2 to Flintholm st. From Flintholm st, take S-train E in direction Hillerød st to Lyngby st. From Lyngby st, you can either walk or take bus 300S (or some other busses) to Lyngby Storcenter as in the normal route (see here).
Conference dinner - Hotel Scandic EremitageTo reach the Hotel Scandic Eremitage after the conference dinner: Take Metro M1 or M2 (both in direction Vanløse st) to Flintholm st. From Flintholm st, take S-train E in direction Hillerød st to Lyngby st. From Lyngby st, you can either walk or take bus 300S (or some other busses) to Lyngby Storcenter as in the normal route (see here).
Nørreport st - Lyngby stThere is no direct S-train connection between Nørreport st and Lyngby st after 1900 during the construction period. You can either take the bus 184, which is a direct connection between Nørreport st and Lyngby st. Or you can take Metro M1 or M2 (both in direction Vanløse st) to Flintholm st. From Flintholm st, take S-train E in direction Hillerød st to Lyngby st.
RejseplanenIf in doubt, you can consult Rejseplanen (http://www.dsb.dk/Rejseplan/bin/query.exe/en) (Journey Planner), which is aware of the changes of the schedule due to the construction work. So, this will find you the actually available connections only; you just need to enter the start and end address (or, if you know it, the name of the stop).
