ECMFA @ DTUThe Software Engineering Section of DTU Informatics is happy to host the 8th European Conference on Modelling Foundations and Applications (ECMFA) 2012.Workshops, tutorials, and other satellite events will be held on July 2-3. The main conference will be held on July 4-5. The programme of the conference is finalised now. You will find it here.
ECMFAModel Driven Engineering (MDE) is a software development approach based on the use of models for the specification, design, analysis, synthesis, deployment, testing and maintenance of complex software systems, aimed to produce high quality systems at lower costs. Considering ever increasing complexity and cost of development of software, MDE has received considerable attention from the industry and researchers in academia.ECMFA is the key European conference aiming at advancement of techniques and furthering underlying knowledge related to Model Driven Engineering. In the past seven years, ECMFA has provided an ideal venue for the interaction among researchers interested in MDE both from the academia and industry. ECMFA 2012 will continue the series of successful events of the last years.
DTUECMFA 2012 will be held at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), which is one of the leading technical universities in northern Europe. DTU is close to Copenhagen and can be easily reached by public transportion from downtown Copenhagen and the Copenhagen airport (CPH).
CopenhagenCopenhagen is a great place to be in summer time, with a lot of historic sites (and the palace of the Danish royal family), many cafes, and cultural events all over the place, the world's best restaurant, a lot of water, and many more fun things to do (see http://www.visitdenmark.com for more information). Right after the ECMFA conference, the Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2012 starts, where there is jazz all over the city.
Other scientific eventsRight before the ECMFA main conference (on July 2-3), the 4th Workshop on Reversible Computation (RC 2012) will be held at Copenhagen University. This might give you a chance to attend two conferences in a single trip.
