- The Woodinville family flew home Tuesday 11 August.
- Kari and I celebrated the event with a selection of Italian
liqueurs - see photo below.
- Kari went to her annual Danish Patchwork & Quilt show.
- The last days of August we took a little tour to the North Sea,
Danish: Western Sea.
- Photos below show:
- Kari enjoying the last of summer.
- The gravestone, in Denmark, at Sønderho cemetery,
for the late Per Brinch Hansen. Per was a pioneer in computing:
originated several profound ideas of parallel programming,
published very many wonderful books, and had a career both in
Denmark and in the USofA. After a short revisit to Denmark, for
a few years, in the 1980s, Per returned to The University of
Syracuse, upstate New York. He died shortly before his 70th
birthday. His family came from Sønderho where the name Brinch
is well-known. There is a house called The Brinch
House.
- The inside of Sønderho Church.
- Photos show
- the Sønderho Inn from the outside
- and from inside out.
- Kari and I enjoyed our three day trip: saw a bit of Denmark in
good weather and Kari a Patchwork & Quilt shop
House of PatchWork
in Esbjerg.
