Interfacing an SD Card with Patmos |
|
| Abstract | In this project an SD card is interfaced to the Patmos processor running on an Altera DE2-115 FPGA board, using the slow but simple SPI mode that such cards provide. A file system module is also built, which can access files on a FAT32 partition. The two parts connect to form a complete system for working with files on Patmos. An emphasis is placed on modularity and ease-of-use, as the work is to eventually be integrated into the Patmos project. An optimal file reading speed of 250 kB=s and writing speed of 150 kB=s has been achieved. |
