Abstract | The goal of the thesis is to investigate how the GOAL agent programming language can be extended with automated planning capabilities. Agent programming was partially motivated by the lack of flexible planners, but agent programming languages often lack useful planning capabilities. A prototype of a planning module that uses the partial-order planning algorithm is implemented in Java and integrated into the GOAL codebase. |
