    abstract     = "The goal of the thesis is to investigate how the {GOAL} agent programming language can be extended with automated planning capabilities. Agent programming was partially motivated by the lack of flexible planners, but agent programming languages often lack useful planning capabilities. A prototype of a planning module that uses the partial-order planning algorithm is implemented in Java and integrated into the {GOAL} codebase."
