Real-time scattering | Erik Livermore
| Abstract | For a long time, real-time computer graphics have been limited to simulating local illumination with the only completely dynamic global illumination effect being shadows. Recent work is producing results allowing more and more global illumination effects to become plausible. Especially diffuse interreflection and light passing through scattering media is receiving a lot of attention. This thesis aims to analyze and implement solutions for various aspects of light scattering calculations. Both participating media, and subsurface scattering has been evaluated, and different solutions have been implemented. | Type | Master's thesis [Academic thesis] | Year | 2012 | Publisher | Technical University of Denmark, DTU Informatics, E-mail: reception@imm.dtu.dk | Address | Asmussens Alle, Building 305, DK-2800 Kgs.
