G-databar exercise 1: Getting started with SML

Michael R. Hansen, 4 September, 2006

The purpose of this databar exercise is that you get acquainted with editing and running SML programs using the emacs editor in the databar.
  1. Set up the emacs editor to SML mode and edit and run the first program.

To do so, follow the instructions here.

Concerning SML-mode to emacs: if you already have personal settings in your '.emacs' file, then include SML-mode in your '.emacs' file, rather than replacing it as suggested in the instructions.

  2. Make your own programs by solving these exercises: .ps, .pdf.
