Getting there

If you are near a Metro station, the M1 line is by far the most convenient mode of transportation. Take the Metro to the Islands Brygge station. You are advised to walk along Njalsgade.

If you are near an S-Tog (city train) station, the most convenient way of getting to IT-U is by taking the S-Tog (city train) to Nørreport from where the Metro will take you straight to Islands Brygge. This is not the most direct route, but easy and probably the fastest. Note that the Central Station is an S-Tog station.

You can also take bus 12 (roughly 15 minute intervals) from Vesterport or bus 33 (every 10 or 15 minutes) from Rådhuspladsen (City Hall) or, if you stay at CabInn, you can catch both 12 and 33 at the intersection of Rysensteensgade and H.C. Andersen's Boulevard. For bus 12 get off at the stop called Universitet on Njalsgade. For bus 33 get off at the later stop called Hørgaarden which is slightly closer.

You can take bus 5A (high frequency) from various locations downtown, but the walk is a bit longer at the other end. (get off at Amager Boulevard and Amagerfælledvej)

Of course, most danes would go by bicycle. Copenhagen has a nice system of city bikes. However, note that the bike zone does not quite extend to the IT-U and, conceivably, you could get a fine for riding it that far.
