T-CREST is a time-predictabel multi-core processor developed at ESE. To extend this multi-pricessor to a distributed system we need time-predictable networking. Time-triggered Ethernet is one way to perform this time-predictable networking. To start to explore TT-Ethernet we need to connect the Ethernet controller on an FPGA board to the T-CREST system. The project involves hardware description with modern HW description language Chisel and some low-level coding of a small Ethernet device driver in C.
