The project may be co-supervised by associate professor Moti Ben-Ari, Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel.
The goal is to develop an interactive visualization tool for learning syntax of Java and possibly other programming languages. The visualization will be based on syntax diagrams, also known as railroad diagrams. The tool will parse a student's program and, in the event of a syntax error, display the appropriate syntax diagram, showing where the error has occurred.
