Bachelorprojekt - Softwareteknologi | Project No. 0062: Security for Mobile Systems |
Aktuelle | Tidligere |
Users have begun downloading an increasingly large number of mobile phone applications in response to advancements in handsets and wireless networks. The increased number of applications results in a greater chance of installing Trojans and similar malware. In the paper (just published in the proceedings of CCS 2009), the authors propose a security service for Android (an operating system for mobile phones), which performs lightweight certiï¬cation of applications to mitigate malware at install time. This approach can simply be attacked by using two apparently not malicious mobile applications that after their download on the mobile platform communicate each other.
This big hole in the Android security can be addressed by using a technique called Security-By-Contract. The goal of the project is to apply such technique to Android security showing that in this way the mentioned problem can easily be addressed.
