DTUsat-2 is the next DTU student satellite expeceted to be launched in 2010. The scientific mission of the satellite is to collect information about bird migration (see www.dtusat.dtu.dk).
As an experiment, the onboard computer has been equipped with a standard memory card of micro-CD type. Since it not known how this technology will behave in the space environment, experiments with its robustness are planned be made.
To enable this, a driver for the memory card must be developed for the eCos operating system. Further an onboard software module for using and monitoring the memory card during flight should be constructed.
