PNVis is a tool for visualising the behaviour of a system in 3D. PNVis visualises this behaviour on top of a Petri net model, which is equipped with some simple information on the physical and graphical properties of the simulated objects. There is a simple and clear interface between the simulation of the Petri net and the 3D environment. The actual implementation of the 3D visualisation, however, has some deficiencies and is based on some outdated technology. Therefore, the visualisation part of PNVis needs to be redesigned and re-implemented in such a way that the interface does not change.
