This project will develop an Intelligent Home Simulator (IHS), which will allow users to experiment with different intelligent home applications without actually installing sensors or rewiring existing installations or appliances. The project must extend an existing intelligent home simulator prototype, written in Java as part of an M.Sc. Thesis project. The existing prototype implements a generic framework for intelligent home simulations, but most of the functionality needed for realistic simulations have not been implemented, e.g., only a few types of sensors and actuators have been implemented in the framework.
