Research interests:

Architecture and design of VLSI systems: design methods, circuit techniques and the interplay between technology and system architecture.
Asynchronous circuits and systems. Systems-on-chip. Networks-on-chip. Low-Power. Computer architecture.

Teaching:

Currently (2008/09) I teach the following courses:

02154 Digital Systems Engineering.
02155 Computer Architecture and Engineering.
02204 Design of Asynchronous Circuits (the course is now offered every year/spring).

Administrative:

I am currently director of studies for the B.Eng. in IT study program (Danish: IT diplomingeniųr ), and I was a member of the Deans task-force that worked out a plan of action for the introduction of the CDIO-concept as the basis for all of DTU's B.Eng. study programs.

Awards:

In 1992 I received the Radio Parts Award (60 K DKR).
In December 2003 I received the Reinholdt W. Jorck Award (150 K DKR).
In April 2005 Tobias Bjerregaard and I won the best paper award at the IEEE Intl. Symposium on Asynchronous Circuits and Systems.

Thomas B. Thriges Center for Microinstruments:

During 1999-2003 I was the Director of the Thomas B. Thrige Center for Microinstruments.
