General research interests:
Knowledge representation and  knowledge engineering.
Logic programming, applications of logic in artificial intelligence.

Specific current research interests:

• Formal ontologies; see research project SIABO (formerly OntoQuery).
• Ontological semantics for natural language. 

• Logic programming methodologies based on predicate-operator forms.
• Inductive logic programming.

• Logical architectures and speech act theory for autonomous agents.
• Argumentation theory
