Tripbook

Christian Bøge-Rasmussen

AbstractSocial media is a modern topic in current times. We love to socialize online. Facebook is used as a people connecting application and friends can share pictures etc. Tripbook.com should raise the level of image sharing online between friends using nice features to better visualize image albums. The application will mainly feature a globe structure to illustrate, where in the world an image where taken and we’ll be able to better personalize a user account from facebook.com.
Tripbook.com uses a delightful visualization of the world (an animated globe view), where users can pinpoint image albums to various locations, regardless of these albums contains images taken when the user vacates or not. Each user has its own globe; however the user can share images with friends and strangers, making the globe and pins with albums visible to others at a certain degree of accessibility.
In a business perspective an interesting problem exists: Should the tripbook.com application be independent from other existing web sites, or should it be implemented as an addition to Facebook (a facebook application)?
