    abstract     = "Real life (offline) and online social networks share common characteristics but also differ in certain aspects. One of them is the relationship model. In offline social networks, we value each of our relations differently. Online social networking sites (SNS) employ a flat model of connections between the members. The model does not carry any knowledge about the relationships. Either someone is a friend or not. This thesis proposes an approach, where context awareness is harnessed to deliver knowledge about one’s relations. The resulting prototype system analyses gathered contextual data by applying reasoning and such machine learning models as hierarchical clustering. The result is a graphical visualization of user’s social graph presented as an application on one of the social networking platforms."
