So far, studies of these dental problems have been limited to two-dimensional analysis from orthopantomograms, intra-oral {X-}rays or cephalometric radiographs. A method for visualization of the developing tooth crowns in three dimensions based on {CT-}scans of the jaws has been developed (Bro-Nielsen et al., 1996).
