AbstractThis bachelor project is intended to give a detailed and descriptive documentation and implementation to the general concepts, security requirements, definitions, and mechanisms that define the web service of .NET for a client/server application. The main focus will be on the aspects of the security provided by .NET and the concepts behind.

The author of this project, Mohammad Derawi, is fulfilling a Computer Science bachelor degree at Technical University of Denmark (DTU), and cooperates with the thermodynamic company, VLXE, which is managed and controlled by Dr. Torben Laursen.

The reader is assumed to have some familiarity with the .NET/C# (Java or other objectorientated programming languages) and XML but no prior advanced knowledge of .NET, security and access control are assumed.
