AbstractThe purpose of the report, is to examine the usability and advantages of a service-oriented architecture. Based on development of a quality assurance system for customer service departments, the usability and advantages, of utilizing a service-oriented architecture in such a system, will be examined.

Based on analysis of the specifications for the system, and the principles of service orientation an architecture will be defined. The defined architecture will be implemented and tested using Windows Communication Foundation and .NET to a degree where be used in the examination.
