Trust in open grid systems

Jesper Krogh

AbstractThe existing security infrastructures enables secure collaboration in systems where it is acceptable to have a single or few central authorities. In a distributed system with many independent collaborators like the internet this approach is not feasible.

This M.Sc. Thesis has focus on modelling a security infrastructure with features similar to the human notion of trust within a distributed computing network. A system that handles the evidence and recommendation evaluation on top of a public key infrastructure that enables an open and collaborative system with the subject in focus.

This report descibes the design and implementation of such system.
