Cheetah Experimental Platform (CEP) (cheetahplatform.org) has been developed for fostering experimental research on conceptual modeling (e.g., process modeling). For this, CEP provides different modeling tools that track every change to the model (e.g., add/delete/move activity, add/delete/move edge) and the corresponding timestamp is automatically recorded and stored in a separate event log, offering the possibility to replay the entire modeling process. When conducting user studies using CEP typically not only data about user interactions is collected, but this data is complemented by other data sources (e.g., neuro-physiological measurements using eye tracking).
Possible bachelor thesis could focus on the development of novel visualizations to better support the analysis of the modeling process (similar to the visualizations described in this paper). It is possible to define several closely related thesis in this area. The exact topics and focus will be defined together with the students, based on their experiences and their interests.
