Description:

At Motorola Solutions, the Zone Controller development team in Copenhagen team proposes a bachelor student to design and implement a graphical tool for modeling message sequence charts (MSC) visually describing ZC test scenarios. From those MSCs, the tool shall auto-generate test scripts understood by our box-testing environment so as to be executed without the need to re-edit them. Lastly, the tool shall provide a way to export the modeled MSC into common output formats (PDF, PNG, etc).

The project shall be implemented using Motorola's agile software developement approach called Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) using test-driven development.

Among the various technologies able to support such a goal, we propose the Graphical Modeling Framework provided by the Eclipse IDE since another parallel and related in-house project is currently ongoing, with a potential synergy between the two projects.

Prerequisites:  You have a talent for software development; you are very adaptive to technological environments and are able to grasp complex systems and message flow naturally without prior specific knowledge; you are comfortable with learning new coding / scripting languages and the use of new software tools if need be. You speak and communicate fluently in English.
