Project No. 0150:  Solar Decathlon Project: Controlling Smart Houses
Aktuelle Tidligere

Description:

Solar Decathlon Europe 2014 is a student competition, where students from around the world compete in building the best solar powered house. Team DTU has qualilfied for the finals that will be held in Versailles (Paris, France) in June/July 2014, where the house designed by Team DTU will be built along side the houses built by the teams from the other universities. DTU Compute is responsible for the development of an intelligent building control system that must be integrated into the building in Paris.

The house developed by Team DTU for the Solar Decathlon Europe 2014 competition includes components supplied by several industrial partners, such as valves and pumps that must be controlled by the intelligent house control system. This project will develop a system, most likely based on a programmable logic controlled (PLC) supplied by Schneider Electric, that will mediate interaction between sensors and actuators in the house and the event based communication system developed by a M.Sc. thesis student.
