Project No. 0149:  Solar Decathlon Project: Data Mining the Smart House
Aktuelle Tidligere

Description:

Solar Decathlon Europe 2014 is a student competition, where students from around the world compete in building the best solar powered house. Team DTU has qualilfied for the finals that will be held in Versailles (Paris, France) in June/July 2014, where the house designed by Team DTU will be built along side the houses built by the teams from the other universities. DTU Compute is responsible for the development of an intelligent building control system that must be integrated into the building in Paris.

The sensors embedded in a smart house generate large volumes of data that can be used to infer behavioural patterns and adapt the house to the needs of the specific inhabitants. This project will examine the problem of storing this data in one or more data marts and to develop parts of the infrastructure that allow this information to be aggregated and queried when necessary.

This project will be undertaken in collaboration with an M.Sc. thesis student.
