When developing JavaScript interpreters, it is important to understand which parts of a system most time is spent in. The goal of this project is to develop a benchmarking infrastructure to measure events and time in a browser/interpreter combination.
Using the infrastructure we will then investigate the effect of different optimizations and additions to the infrastructure. Another interesting question is the effect of garbage collection in a browser environment.
