Description:

Wire frame models allow to construct the very different natural or human made shapes with less constraints than tetrahedralizations. The idea of this project is to add 3D topological information (vertex sharing of edges, edge sharing of faces, face sharing of volumes) to a Java code for 3D wire frame models in order to provide navigation capability to the purely geometric 3D wire frame model.

The group of students will have access to either the 3D wire frame Java code that is very simple and basic or a Delphi implementation of the topological data structure, that should be improved. Any programming language can be chosen, but functional or object-oriented programming languages are preferable. This project gives a nice and easy way to experiment with 3D Computer Graphics and topology.
