| Bachelorprojekt - Softwareteknologi | Project No. 0060: Design and simulation of future multi-core and many-core processors |
| Aktuelle | Tidligere |
The ESE section is involved in researching future multi-core and many-core processor architectures. Of interest is not only all aspects of a processor architecture including memory systems and I/O systems but also the support for programming models, both in software and hardware. For example, a programmable network interface is being designed which can be used to support a wide range of programming models. This is an generic thesis proposal which can be tailored to suit the competence profile and interests of the candidate. In general, however, the thesis proposal involves implementing a portion of the system either in a simulation infrastructure or in hardware. In addition to the aforementioned network interface, processor pipelines are of particular interest.
| Prerequisites: | Depending on the focus of the thesis, the candidate may need experience with hardware prototyping in FPGA, full custom or standard cell technology. |
