Project No. 0011:  Persistent Authentication in Smart Environments
Aktuelle Tidligere

Description:

This project investigates the possibility of tracking people with multiple cameras in a smart environment. The goal is to track people from the point where they were authenticated, e.g., an access card terminal, to the point where that authentication is used, e.g., a door controlled by the access card system. The project must develop a prototype that consists of three components: a simple authentication system based on smart cards (JavaCards), a tracking system that uses cheap web-cams, and an access control system that controls the lock on a door (we have a door with a lock that can be controlled through a web server interface). Work on the tracking component will be co-supervised by Dan Witzner Hansen, who is working in the image group at IMM.
